Graduate of Adana Anadolu High School (secondary school) and Kadıköy Anadolu High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Architecture. Between 1990 and 1993, she completed her master’s degree at the Department of Restoration at ITU Faculty of Architecture with the consultancy of Prof. Doğan Kuban. She took part in the projects of the professorial chair within the working fund group.
Between the years 1990-1999, she worked as a freelance architect and worked on projects and applications mainly on restoration. With Cengiz Kabaoğlu and his team, she directed consolidation, protection, and field excavation of Darphane-i Amire. She was the director of the Balat Haliç walls’ survey and restoration projects and applications.
Between 1999 and 2013, he worked as a project manager and designer in MAM (Adnan Kazmaoğlu Architecture Research Center) in the design of residential settlements, shopping malls, office buildings, hotels and tourism facilities.
Currently, she is continuing her architectural, urban design, restoration and interior design studies at various scales at Melda Hanoğlu Architecture Workshop with her teammates, which she founded in 2013 and also she continues to give lectures on architectural projects at Halic University, School of Architecture, Architecture Division and on construction projects at Interior Architecture Division of the same university.
